The UK Kubb Championship has been running in its current form for around 10 years, and has grown to cater for 100 teams playing across one full day. The competition starts with a series of Swiss ladder style matches which lead to three knockout brackets in the afternoon.
Teams are made up of between 2 to 6 players, of all abilities, and the structure ensures that everyone gets the maximum number of games, with plenty of opportunities to be competitive.
Fun is the first priority, with pun-laden team names and various levels of fancy dress on display. However, there is also a very competitive side to the championship and players travel from all round the U.K. and Europe to vie for the honour of ultimate champion.
The 2027 team event will take place at the Cople Sports & Social Club (MK44 3TT) on Saturday 26th June 2027 with a 10.30am arrival for a 10.45am briefing.
It costs £25 per team (regardless of size) and places sell out fast so register at the earliest opportunity!
The Masters - Open Singles
We are hosting a singles tournament on Friday 25th June 2027, the day before the team event. The briefing will take place at 12 noon and the competition will be run as a Swiss ladder/knockout, similar to the team event.
Cost of entry is £10 per player. This includes admission into the screening of ‘The Kings of Kubb’ movie that will be shown in the clubhouse at 7.30pm on Friday evening.

Location
The 2027 UK Kubb Championship will be held at a new venue, Cople Sports and Social club near Bedford (MK44 3TT). Unfortunately, the Hursley Sports and Social Club suffered a damaging fire in the summer of 2026, so a new venue had to be found. Set in the Bedfordshire countryside, just an hour north of London, Cople, has a large cricket pitch and facilities that are ideal for a day of playing Kubb! The iconic Cardington air hangers can be seen in the distance and the local town of Bedford has a vast range of hotels to choose from. There will be food trucks in attendance to provide hot food throughout the day and the Clubhouse bar has a vast array of drinks available, with the stipulation that only alcohol purchased from the bar can be consumed on-site (please do not bring your own alcohol!).
